IRONOAKS at SUN LAKES OAKWOOD/IRONWOOD GOLF CLUBS

Oakwood and Ironwood Golf Shops will reserve tee times on a year round basis for public play. Promotional and charity golf outings will be held periodically at the discretion of IronOaks at Sun Lakes. It is a golf course policy that no more than two golf carts are used per foursome.
Annual Membership or Play Card purchase does not guarantee that the member will be able to participate in any golf leagues or associations operating at either Oakwood or Ironwood, since those associations are run independently of each golf club.
POLICY – ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE MEMBERSHIPS
In order to be eligible to purchase an annual or any other type of membership at the preferred homeowner rate that is offered by the IronOaks at Sun Lakes Homeowner’s Association, a member of the Association must be a Member in Good Standing. In order to be a Member in Good Standing a member of the Association must be current with all amounts due to the Association, including without limitation, annual dues, special assessments or any outstanding fines owed to the Association by that member.
The memberships covered by this policy shall be all such memberships offered by the Association, including without limitation, memberships for the fitness center, golf courses, pickle ball and tennis. Also included are the play cards offered by the golf courses.
In the event a member is delinquent in any monies owed to the Association, if that member enters into a payment plan to pay the amount owed, then that member shall be eligible to purchase the memberships offered by the Association. A member, if delinquent, may purchase annual or any other type of memberships at the non-resident rates.
Please Note: Individual annual golf fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. Homeowners have the option of purchasing a 12-Month Annual Membership or Punch Card. Homeowners who anticipate selling their home should consider daily green fees or a Punch Card.
NO REFUNDS OR MEDICAL CREDITS can be made except as described in the Pro-Rata and Refund Policy as described herein. Unlimited golf is not guaranteed. The Chelsea tee time computer system will be used to assign tee times.
The golf course will be closed for overseeding operations, maintenance and periods of adverse weather conditions. Such closures create no obligation on IronOaks at Sun Lakes for refunds, rebates or credit in connection with the annual golf fees or daily fees. For the month of June, July and August, the Oakwood Golf Course will close one nine-hole course weekly for course maintenance and the Ironwood Golf Course will close for 4 days during two separate periods.
ANNUAL GOLF FEE/PLAY CARD PRO-RATA AND REFUND POLICY
- Annual golf fees will be pro-rated for first time home buyers. Home buyers have one (1) year from the close of escrow to exercise the option unless executed early. When applying for pro-rated fees, documents showing proof of purchase must be presented.
- Annual golf membership fees or play cards will be refunded in the event of a purchaser’s death. Refund of the decedent’s fees will be pro-rated beginning with the first full month following the death for annual memberships. Play cards will be refunded based on the value of the unused rounds.
- Annual golf membership fees or play cards will not be pro-rated, refunded or credited for any other reason.
- 2017 Play cards can be upgraded to an annual membership at any time and will be valued at the number of unused rounds remaining on the play card. All annual memberships expire on December 31st of the year in which they were purchased.
- Each time play occurs, a round(s) will be deducted from the play card balance until the balance is zero. Any unused plays at the end of the year (December 31, 2017) will be forfeited and no credits will be offered.
- Play cards are not mandatory – daily green fees are available.
- IronOaks does not provide cart use for Resident Annual Memberships. Daily cart fee may apply.
- This membership is not valid or confirmed until approved by Director of Golf.
IRONOAKS AT SUN LAKES RESERVES THE SOLE RIGHT TO INTERPRET THESE POLICIES
Applicant hereby waives, releases and forever discharges, and further agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, owner of IronOaks golf courses as well as its agents, shareholders, officers, directors, partners, members, managers, homeowners and affiliates for, from and against any and all liability, claims, damage or expense whatsoever arising from or otherwise relating to the use by Applicant of the IronOaks golf courses (including any golf cart thereon), except to the extent directly caused by the willful misconduct of such Golf Course Affiliate. Applicant agrees to comply with all rules and policies (including without limitation those governing cart and walking use and restrictions) as adopted and amended from time to time by the Association Board and golf course management as well as any and all applicable laws, rules regulations and ordinances of any governmental, agency municipality or political subdivisions.
